"Maybe being depressed gives evolutionary advantage." Very interesting remark. I would say that being realistic (even cynical) might give one 'the edge'. Also it's easier to focus on serious work when slightly down rather than slightly up. Full-on depression though would (obviously) have the adverse effect. more…
